2008 - 2009 Annual General Report |
|
The 2008-2009 Annual General Report entitled Leaders is now available online.
The VRRI mission statement sets a high standard of achievement for all, by encouraging us 'to be leaders' in the activities we undertake. We believe leaders are people who inspire us to achieve. Leaders empower others and provide mentorship. They inquire and seek innovation, and are a source of strength for others. Allan Keith said, "Leadership is ultimately about creating a way for people to contribute to making something extraordinary happen." We are fortunate at The VRRI to witness daily examples of extraordinary things happening. We invite you to read through our 2008-09 Annual General Report which features highlights of some of our favorite stories and examples of leadership at The VRRI. |

It's My History, Too! is a story of Albertans with developmental disabilities and their helpers. Do you know this story? Bad things happened. Good things happened. Told in their words, these stories will span the province's 100-year history. The goal is to develop a museum quality exhibit that will feature mavericks - Albertans who have made a profound difference in the lives of Albertans with developmental disabilities at any time in the province's history. Mavericks led the way for people with developmental disabilities to be seen, heard, valued, and understood. Please visit www.imht.ca to learn more about our exhibit and/how you can participate.
