The VRRI is a non-profit, service and research agency supporting persons with disabilities to live, learn and work in their community. The VRRI has several full-time and part-time opportunities for dynamic and flexible individuals to join our team in Community Disability Services Worker (CDSW) and Community Disability Services Practitioner (CDSP) positions.
As an integral part of our strong Services team, you will provide high-quality services and supports to adults in a variety of settings including community living, employment and community access. In addition to providing excellent client services, each position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to establish collaborative and effective working relationships.
Positions available now involve day, evening, and weekend work - perfect for students and others, who require flexibility in their work schedules.
Qualifications for Community Disability Services Worker
- Completed the Foundations training and/or post Secondary education and with related experience
- experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Demonstrate oral and written skills to meet planning and reporting requirements
Qualifications for Community Disability Services Practitioner
- diploma in Community Disability Services Studies or a related field
- a minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
- responsible for writing client service plans.
