The VRRI is a recognized leader in Alberta in research and services to persons with disabilities.  Our policy, evaluative and social issues research makes a direct impact on the quality of lives of people with disabilities.  We are currently looking for a Research Assistant to join our Research team.

As the successful candidate your qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences or a related field combined with research experience.

Ideally, you

• are familiar with qualitative and quantitative software.
• have experience conducting literature searches and reviews.
• have excellent communication skills, organizational skills and critical evaluative ability.
• are skilled at interviewing and have well developed time management skills.

We require a flexible and enthusiastic individual to conduct the preliminary steps of the research process. Experience working with people with disabilities is an asset. 

Duties will include arranging, scheduling and conducting interviews and focus groups with participants and delivering strong administrative support using Microsoft Office and data entry.
