Welcome! At the VRRI we believe that people with disabilities have the right to live with dignity as contributing and valued members of the community. This guiding principle is the foundation for everything we do at the VRRI and is reflected by our mission.
The VRRI operates Calgary's only not-for-profit bottle depot, it employs people of all levels of ability and demonstrates the benefits of an integrated workforce.
The VRRI mission statement sets a high standard of achievement for all, by encouraging us 'to be leaders' in the activities we undertake. We believe leaders are people who inspire us to achieve. Leaders empower others and provide mentorship. They inquire and seek innovation, and are a source of strength for others. Allan Keith said, "Leadership is ultimately about creating a way for people to contribute to making something extraordinary happen." We are fortunate at The VRRI to witness daily examples of extraordinary things happening.
