The Dr. Randy J. Tighe Resource Centre (Tighe Resource Centre) is the library of The Vocational and Rehabilitation Research Institute (VRRI).

The Tighe Resource Centre:

                • provides information on developmental disabilities and rehabilitation
                • distributes the research materials and training programs developed by VRRI staff
                • sends out a monthly bulletin (the Current Awareness Bulletin, or CAB) as a quick-reference guide to new materials at the Tighe Resource Centre
                • has a growing collection of videos and other multimedia resources
                • has Plain Language materials for people with reading difficulties

 Disability information

Our library collection consists of over 30, 000 books, journals and reports on a variety of intellectual disability topics, such as:

                • autism spectrum disorders
                • Down syndrome
                • cerebral palsy
                • disability rights
                • supported employment
                • sexuality

        and many more...

 Internet access

  • Access search engines and on-line library databases from our computers.

The University of Calgary on-line library and the Calgary Public Library website are two excellent examples of our on-line research tools.
