Families of children with disabilities praise Alberta Government.

The Alberta Association for Community Living (AACL) and families of children with disabilities throughout the province are praising the Alberta Government for their recent endorsement of the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP), in particular, Ministers Mary Anne Jablonski and Hector Goudreau.

The RDSP is a new federal program designed to help parents and others save money to ensure the long-term financial security of an individual with disabilities. It is a significant development for individuals with disabilities, as the federal government will directly contribute funds for lower income families and those individuals who do not have family or others to support them.
